If you like vinaigrette dressing's, but don't want any of the yucky ingredients- you'll love this gem of a dressing!
This is a dressing that is tangy and bursting with flavor!
-------
Ingredients:
~All organic~
*1/2 medium/large beefsteak tomato
*1 heaping teaspoon dried oregano
*1 heaping teaspoon dried basil
*Dash of cayenne (not too much- unless you like it on fire!)
*Dash of garlic powder
*Dash of black pepper
*2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
*Juice of 1/2 a lemon
~Remember that fresh is always best, so if you can get fresh basil/oregano/garlic that is always ideal!
~If you have a clove of raw garlic, use only a tiny sliver of it for this recipe.

Dig in!
~You can keep this dressing with a covered lid in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
Why is it best to create our own salad dressings instead of using store bought ones?
~Traditional bottled salad dressings are loaded with ingredients that are horrible for our health.
Here is a small list of some of the toxic and unnecessary ingredients in traditional salad dressings:
-MSG (known for causing migraines)
-Animal Products
-Potasium Sorbate (a preservative)
-Polysorbate 60 (an emulsifier)
-Food Starch
-Xantham Gum
-Canola/Soybean Oil
-Caramel Color
-Artificial Sweeteners
-High Sodium Content
The above list is just a tip of the iceberg in terms of horrible ingredients in bottled salad dressings (and processed foods).
~Eating a healthy salad but in turn coating it with a horrible dressing creates a losing situation.
~Making our own dressings with healthy ingredients is always ideal (and it is so easy!)
~Healthy dressings boost the salads with even more nutrition and flavor. Now isn't that wonderful?
