Video On Why Meat Is Bad For You + My Lovely Spirulina Tonic

Enjoy!

                            My Spirulina Tonic!

This is the wonderful spirulina I use from Health Force SuperFoods.
It is sold at Whole Foods and is one of the highest quality spirulina's on the market.

Pour a glass of raw coconut water.

Harmless Harvest's raw coconut water is excellent.
If you can crack open a Thai coconut yourself, then that is wonderful!
Don't forget to strain the coconut water first to remove any wood chips if you are going that route.

Pour about a teaspoon into your coconut water and stir!

It will turn it dark green, which I love!
Any plant (or algae in this case) that is dark green is an indicator of its high mineral content!

Drink up!

*This tonic tastes fabulous. The sweetness of the coconut water is amazing.

Let me explain to you a little about the magic of spirulina!

~Spirulina is often touted as a superfood- and for good reason!

~Spirulina is actually an algae that when taken from non contaminated areas, it is one of the best things you can eat!

~High in protein, B-12, and iron, it is ideal to take during pregnancy or illness-anytime the immune system needs a boost.

~Spirulina is made up of 65% amino acids!

~Contains Omega 3, 6, and 9s, and is especially high in Omega 3s.

~High in chlorophyll! Chlorophyll helps the body to remove toxins and help our immune systems. I also love the chlorophyll in green juices as well.

~High in iron, which would be ideal for someone dealing with anemia.

~Spirulina also has Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B6, B9, C, D, A, & E!

~Loaded with potassium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, selenium, and zinc.

~Can help bind with heavy metals that have collected in the body and help remove them. Cilantro is also excellent for heavy metal removal.

~Spirulina has 26 times the amount of calcium than in milk (which makes our body leach calcium from our bones anyway!).

This all leads me to the question....

                                     -Got spirulina?
