My "Liquid Energy" juice recipe:
-This recipe will have your gears turning and your engine revving with energy!
:)
Ingredients are simple- just carrots and oranges!
Cut up your carrots and oranges.
I use an Omega juicer- they are fabulous (especially for extracting juice out of greens) and I highly recommend!
Start putting the carrots and oranges through the juicer!
You can juice your carrots first and then save the pulp for future recipes (soups, raw bread/crackers, recipes, etc)!
When you are finished, pour into a pitcher.
This juice really looks like liquid sunshine, doesn't it?
I always either drink the juice immediately or put into glass mason jars with a tight plastic lid and put in the fridge for no more than 3 days.
If I were leaving a juice for 3 days I would make sure the juice recipe had some sort of citrus in it- lemon, orange, lime- as it acts as a preservative.

What are some benefits to juicing your own fruits and vegetables?
~It is not pasteurized! ALL juice you see at grocery stores (unless stated otherwise) are always pasteurized- thus killing the enzymes and essential nutrients in the juice! Fresh juice gives you life.
~Fresh is always best. This is true with all food.
~Juicing removes the fiber from the fruits/vegetables allowing all the nutrients to go straight to our bloodstreams.
~Juicing is extremely therapeutic and detoxifying to our bodies.
~Go on a one, three, seven, or even 14 (or longer!) day juice fast and you will see how amazing you feel.
~Juicing gives our digestive systems a break (while still taking in nutrients). It will always be a wise person who gives their digestive systems breaks throughout their lives. It takes constant energy from the body to always be digesting food. Go on juice fasts (I call them feasts) or water fasts if you know what you are doing- throughout your lives and you will reap the benefits of longevity.
~I always encourage the daily juicing habit.
Cheers!
