DIY Sundried Tomatoes

                            These are easy peasy!

It is amazing the things you can do with a trusty dehydrator by your side!

You'll need:

-3-6 organic roma (or any type you desire) tomatoes
-seasonings of your choice (I used oregano and cayenne)

Slice tomatoes into thickness that you desire.

You can slice into thin strips if you are going to be using them in a salad.
Spread onto dehydrator sheet and add desired seasonings on top.

Cayenne will give them a spicy kick and italian seasoning/oregano will give them a traditional taste.

*Dehydrate for 12 hours on 105 degrees*

They'll come out looking like this.

You can use them immediately or put them covered in the fridge for up to several days!

What can you use sundried tomatoes for, anyway?

~They give recipes a thicker consistency while also contributing a flavor that is hard to beat!

~Use them in raw hummus', sauces, salads, pizza recipes, etc! The possibilities are endless.

~Making sundried tomatoes in our own home assures their freshness. We also control what ingredients go into them! Don't want any salt or oil? You can mandate it.

~Since these tomatoes are not dehydrated at a temperature over 105 degrees, the nutrients still remain intact, which of course is very important!

                                  Song of the day:

---------------

I stumbled upon European artist Hobbie Stuart a few years back. He instantly blew me away and I still enjoy his music to this day.

This cover of Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around Comes Around" is one of my favorites.

The lyrics are great.

Enjoy and stay healthy!
